We take a night of observation on Montello Hills to wachDraconid meteors occurred on 2011 October 8, hoping for a meteor storm Excellent predictions for our obervation site, the weather perfect too (clear sky with a limit magnitude about4.5 naked eye on North celestial pole), only moonlight disturbing at south- east

We start visual and photographic observation at 18:45 UT Draconid rates were generally low until around 19:00 UT when arapid increase in activity occurred, peaking between 20:05 and 20:15 UT.In this time we counted at least one meteor/min in a small portion of sky centeredon Draco head, from Cygnus to CassiopeiaTotal visual meteors detected was 105 in 90 minutesSome Draconids were taken with digital cameras
Thereafter there was a rapid decline, with Draconid meteor rates returningto a low level by 2130 UT. A preliminary analysis of visualobservations, indicates that the peak equivalent ZHRwas about 200 m/h with a peak of 300-350 between 2005 and 2015 UT, although correction factors arehigh due to the effect of bright moonlight.
other Draconids (image by Rob Garofalo) Observing IMO graphic of activity, we can confirm our impressions, a very short outburst, but spectacular !

Meteor storm? Yes, but previsions were for a ZHR = 600 or
