2011, June 15

from Monte Cesen, 1570 mt
with friends of TREVISO ASTRONOMICA (www.oatv.it)
we went on the top of Mount Cesen, a
site near Treviso with an altitude of 1570 mt. on level sea
Initial conditions of observations were very difficult, the moon shine on the horizon already eclipsed with setting sun on the opposite horizon

Start of the evening, positioning
telescopes to follow the eclipse

our tradition : eat and drink ! Pizzas, tramezzinos, pane e salame , and of course, beer for all !

Nino
is an excellent Prosecco producer ! Is offering his creation to a thirsty Rob !

Togheter,
ready for the eclipsed moonshine

First
Moon on the horizon, just eclipsed !

we
are all ready !

Rob
is studying the shot

Eclipsed
Moon over Treviso lights, see the Scorpio constellation at right

Eclipse
maximum phase : very dark ! Difficult to see Moon with naked eye!

A
fantastic panorama image by Henry, during maximum phase

all
togheter again, for a shot with eclipsed Moon !

Amazing image with stars around! Thank you Henry!
Thanks to Rob,
Henry and Tom for images
